The yarn keeper is used for getting control of the ball of yarn
when knitting so that it doesn’t roll around all over the floor.
It also comes in very handy as protection against playful dogs
and cats. Finally, two yarn keepers make it easier to keep the
balls of yarn apart when knitting with two different colours.

How to use the Yarn Keeper:
First you open the cage. Then you place the the ball of yarn
on the wooden block. Afterwards you close the cage and
then you take the yarn through the yarn keeper’s top.

This practical and stylish yarn keeper is a
copy of an old knitting tool from the 1920’s
that I inherited from my grandmother.
When I got the yarn keeper I didn’t have
any second thoughts about what to do
with it, and I soon decided that others
should be able to have the pleasure
from the yarn keeper. Therefore I started
the production of the yarn keeper.
